1863年創立。比較的規模の大きなリベラルアーツ大学だが、学生が30人を超える授業を設けないということを方針にしている。一クラスの平均学生数が20人以下で、教授とのコミュニケーションがとりやすい。人気の専攻は会計学とマスコミュニケーション。最近、「デジタルアート＆マルチメディアデザイン」という新しい専攻分野を設けた。100以上の学生サークルがあって、学生主催のさまざまな企画、イベントが恒常的に催される。インターンシップの機会も豊富。メディアでの評価が非常に高い大学の一つ。
