1964年創立。1970年から共学。ペンシルバニア州センターバレー（人口約3,000人）に位置するローマカトリック系の中規模私立大学。キャンパスは家庭的雰囲気にあふれ、地域のコミュニティとのつながりも深く、自由でのんびりとした校風。リーハイ渓谷に囲まれたキャンパス、お互いに支えあう環境、アカデミックなプログラムなどから生まれた気風といえる。大学卒業後なかなか就職しない学生が多い中、本学の場合、ほぼ全員が6カ月以内に就職している。フィラデルフィアまで南へ約80キロの距離。
