大学の紹介
1915年創立。ペンシルバニア州スクラントンに立地する女子大だったが、1980年に共学に変わった。ニューヨーク州のFashion Institute of Technology（FIT）とカリキュラム提携しており、専攻によっては両方の大学から学位を得ることも可能。人気の専攻は初等教育学、グラフィックデザイン、保健体育教育など。テレビ番組の制作・送信施設が充実しており、大学独自のＣＡＴＶチャンネルを有する。新しく「ビデオ会議室」を設け、教授ばかりでなく、学生たちも世界中の学者や学生たちと意思疎通できるようになった。
