1924年創立。カトリック系リベラルアーツの女子大だったが、2003年から共学になった。「社会における女性の貢献度を高めるための教育」がモットー。パートタイム学生が半数以上を占め、学生の平均年齢はやや高い。初等教育学、ビジネス、心理学が人気の専攻分野。近隣のLa Salle Universityと提携していて、両方の大学で授業を受けられる。エアロビクスや乗馬、ゴルフなどのクラブ活動が盛ん。週末に映画や演劇、スポーツなどを楽しむ機会も豊富。8,900エーカーの公園に囲まれたキャンパスは、勉強するのに最適な環境といえる。
