1892年創立。セブンスデーアドベンチスト教会系の私立共学校で、ワシントン州カレッジプレイスに77エーカーのメインキャンパスがある。パスコ、リッチランド、ケネウイッチの3都市から約72キロの距離。４年制のほか、２年制の准学士、大学院の修士課程を設けている。ワシントン州アナコルテス、オレゴン州ポートランド、モンタナ州のビリングスとミズーラに分校がある。学部レベルでは100以上のプログラムを提供し、人気の専攻は工学と看護学。新入生の約80％、全体の約45％が寮に住んでいる。宗教色が強く、寮内は禁酒・禁煙。教派の教えにより、金曜日の日没以降の週末には大学の行事は一切行われない。学生の人種構成は白人が80％以上。約15％が州外出身の学生
