大学の紹介
1866年創立。創立当初は教員養成の専門学校で、後に鉱山技師養成学校と合併して大学となった。1960年代ごろから規模が拡大され、充実した教育システムを確立、近年はオンライン教育にも力を入れている。専攻は理工系分野から、農学、教育学など多岐に及ぶが、中でも人気は工学と刑事法学。キャンパスは景観のよいウィスコンシン南西部に位置している。コミュニティとのつながりも深く、地域住民にイベントや活動の場を提供している。
