大学の紹介
1964年創立。オハイオ州の都市デイトンの郊外に立地する州立大学。飛行機を発明したライト兄弟がデイトン出身であったことから、その名を校名にした。今でもこの地に空軍基地があって、飛行機との関連を残している。キャンパス内のすべての建物が地下通路でつながっているので、雪深い冬でも寒さを感じることなく学内を往来できる。人気の専攻は初等教育学、看護学、心理学など。学部生が専攻できる分野は大学の規模の割には多く、約80分野に及ぶ。
