大学の紹介
1892年創立。Seventh-day Adventist教会系列の私立大学。1944年に短大から4年制大学となり、現在の学校名に変更されたのは1996年。1997年以降、大学は拡大路線を図っており、現在は2年制、4年制、プログラムに加えて大学院のプログラムも備え、ヘルスサイエンス系の専攻の大学院準備コースも開講されている。2005年には大学開校以来の学生数を記録した。約２０校近くある北米のSeventh-day Adventist系の大学の中では最大規模。Seventh-day Adventist系の大学協会の主催する海外研修プログラムを利用して、夏期休暇などを利用した短期のものから1年におよぶ長期の研修まで、ヨーロッパや中南米諸国への留学も可能。留学生は約105人在籍している。
