1873年創立。キリスト教・会衆派によって設立されたリベラルアーツカレッジ。キャンパスのあるミズーリ州スプリングフィールドは同州第3の都市で南北戦争の激戦地のひとつという歴史的な街でもある。伝統的な煉瓦造りの建物が並ぶキャンパスは広さ約80エーカーで四季折々の自然も美しい。伝統的なリベラルアーツ教育を守りつつも、現在は50以上の多様なプログラムを提供している。学生のコミュニケーション能力、問題解決能力を高めるため、独自のカリキュラムを実践している。
