大学の紹介
1934年創立。フロリダ州ジャクソンビルに立地する比較的小規模な私立大学。当初は2年制のジュニアカレッジだったが、1956年に4年制大学となった。アーツ＆サイエンス、ビジネス、芸術の3つのカレッジ（学部）から成る。ジャクソンビルは川と海に囲まれた小都市で、ショッピングモールや劇場などもあり、週末にはディズニーワールド、シーワールド、ユニバーサルスタジオなどのアミューズメントスポットへも足を伸ばせる。U.S. News＆Worlds Report 2007では3年連続でベストカレッジにランクインしている。
