1874年創立。マサチューセッツ州ウーセスターに立地する州立大学。ボストンまで車で約1時間の距離で、鉄道やバスなどでアクセスできる。冬は非常に寒く、積雪も深い。キャンパス内の学生寮で生活するのは新入生の約53％、全学生の約25％。寮に住む新入生は車を持つことはできない決まり。人気の専攻はビジネス管理学、コミュニケーション・メディア研究、心理学など。比較的小規模な大学の割には学生が専攻できる学問分野は多岐に及び、自分の興味にあった様々な学問を学ぶことができる。
