大学の紹介
1922年創立。カリフォルニア州リバーサイドに立地する小規模な私立大学。キリストの再臨と土曜安息を主張するアドバンティスト派の大学であるため、ミサには必ず出席しなければならない。キャンパスは緑に囲まれ、冬の雪景色の美しさは格別。学部生が専攻できる分野の数は限られてはいるが、小規模校の利点を生かし、少人数制クラスの授業が多い。通常の大学では出欠管理は担当教授に任されているが、本学は授業出席は学生の「義務」として、厳しくチェックしている。学内の寮に生活する学生の割合は新入生の約75％、全学生の約51％。
