大学の紹介
1906年創立。キリスト教系の私立リベラルアーツカレッジ。短大を経て1965年に4年制となる。「学問、職業、精神、愛国、文化５つの目標」を教育の理念としている。1992年にウォールストリートジャーナル紙により“Hard Work University”と命名されて以来、この言葉が大学のモットーとなり、広く知れ渡っている。服装やアクセサリー、ヘアスタイルを規制するドレスコード、へアコードが定められている。
