Representatives of over one hundred U.S. academic institutions visit SISA each year. Our office doors in Tokyo and Boston are always open, and we welcome your visit. The majority of SISA staff members are former Sakae students, who will be happy to answer any of your questions. We look forward to seeing you in the near future!

In choosing which school to attend, our students consistently utilize school videos, course catalogs and viewbooks. Course catalogs are particularly useful, as they tell students a great deal about a school's curriculum and academic offerings. As such current information is crucial to the service we provide, we are constantly trying to update the information in our offices. In doing so, we also seek to establish open and long-term relationships with a variety of academic institutions and business organizations. Therefore, we would greatly appreciate any materials that you could send us. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

THE BEST COUNSELING ORGANIZATION FOR OVER 35 YEARS

More than thirty-five years ago, after completing her Master's degree in Secondary Education and Counseling in the United States, Yoko SAKAE realized there was a genuine need for an organization that would provide counseling for Japanese students who wished not only to study in the United States, but also to receive a degree from an American educational institution. She therefore established the Sakae Institute of Study Abroad (SISA) in 1972. Its mission is to provide information, private counseling and placement services for Japanese who wish to graduate from American educational institutions.

Since its founding, more than five thousand SISA students have graduated from American high schools, universities, and graduate schools, and many have continued on into careers with major corporations and international organizations, including the United Nations. More than eight hundred SISA students are currently enrolled in degree programs at institutions in the United States.

SISA is regarded as the premier quality-oriented academic placement and information service organization in Japan. SISA maintains its reputation by enrolling each student in a school that will meet that individual's needs and abilities, only after extensive counseling.
